Casa Hygge (Danish word for cosiness, feeling warm, comfortable, safe) is a sizable country house (400m2) built in the 19th century with an additional cottage and surrounded by its own gardens and private recreational space (20’000m2).
The house is situated in the hills of the small village of Terzo in the Province of Alessandria, Piedmont, located about 40 kilometres southeast of Asti. Acqui Terme, in immediate proximity, is one of the principal winemaking communes of the Italian DOCG wine Brachetto d’Acqui. The historic roman city Acqui Terme offers you access to local coffee shops, seasonal food markets, Piemontese delicacies, wine tastings, artist shops, thermal baths and more.
During summer time, the historical archway of the main house or the private garden benches around the property offer great places to be.
Casa Hygge is ideal for families or groups of up to 10 people, with the possibility to expand to 12 beds with extra mattresses. The main house is arranged on two floors with four bedrooms (Japanese “ichi”, “ni”, “san”, “yon”) with eight double or single beds, two bathrooms and one guest toilet.
The elegant dining area in the main house seats eight people, with an option to expand to 12 seats. The living room invites you to enjoy company or read books while lighting up the fireplace and candle lights.
The additional cottage has one bedroom (Japanese “go”) with a double bed and its own bathroom.
